Based in Spokane, Washington, Seven Generations Innovation exists to challenge the patterns of short-term thinking that have brought us to this moment — and to help advance a more informed, humane, and future-oriented way of living with one another and the natural world.
The work is guided by the Seventh Generation Principle — an Indigenous governance philosophy that calls on us to consider how our decisions will affect people and ecosystems seven generations into the future. In a world increasingly shaped by quarterly returns, election cycles, and immediate gratification, this principle offers a powerful and necessary counterbalance: a framework grounded in foresight, restraint, and responsibility across time.
